Township Hall Rental
At the Township Offices, we have rental facilities to accommodate up to 300 people. A kitchen, heat, air condiitioning, tables and chairs are available. Please see Rental Information for more details.
Township Services
Many of the services the Township provides are listed below. If you have additional questions, please contact our office.
The township has three cemeteries. Pine Grove Cemetery is located at Tuscola and Lewis Road. Newton/Compau Cementer is on Millington Road just west of Bray Road. Gunnell Cemetery is on Squires Road south of Birch Run Road. Contact township offices for opening/closing costs. Foundations for grave markers must be poured by our sextons so call township for prices.

Township Building Department
A site plan is required for new buildings and ponds. Site plan requirements include: Measurements from or to property lines, center line of road and location to other buildings on the property. Police
The Township contracts with the Tuscola County Sheriff's Department for a full time police officer.
Fire
The Millington-Arbela Fire Department (joint venture) is stationed in Millington.

Dog Licenses
Dog licenses are no longer sold at the Township Office. Please see the Tuscola County Treasurer for more information.
Library Privileges
The Millington Arbela District Library is located at 8530 Depot St., Millington, MI 48746. Phone number is (989) 871-2003
Sexton
Our Township Sexton is Estee Heike. Open / closing costs are as follows: Monday - Friday costs are $450.00 for a vault and $150.00 for cremains. Saturday and Sunday open/closing costs are as follows: $550.00 for vault and $250.00 for cremains. Prices are subject to change. Contact the Township Office for scheduling of headstone foundations or alterations of graves.

All legal notices, etc. will be published in the Tuscola County Advertiser.
Garbage
Weekly pick up takes place on Mondays (Holiday Pickup will be a day late). All trash MUST BE OUT BY 7:00 A.M. to ensure pick up. Trash services are provided by GFL Environmental. Large Items will be picked up on your regular trash day. Tires or building materials will NOT be picked up. Caro Recycling (989-672-1673) takes tires all year for a fee.
